What's the average interior design timeline in Delhi NCR?

If you've asked a few contractors "how long will this take?" and gotten three different answers, you're not alone. Here's a realistic, week-by-week breakdown of what a full home interior actually involves.

Week 1: Consultation and measurement

A designer visits your site, takes measurements, and talks through how you'll actually use each room — not just what looks good in a catalogue. This stage is free and comes with no obligation to proceed.

Weeks 2–3: Design and 3D visualization

You'll see a 2D floor plan first, followed by photorealistic 3D renders of each room. This is the stage to change your mind about a layout — it's far cheaper to edit a render than to redo installed cabinetry.

Weeks 4–7: Execution

Once you approve the design and quote, our team begins carpentry, electrical work, false ceiling and painting in parallel where possible. For a standard 2–3 BHK home, this stage typically runs 30–35 days.

• 1 BHK: approximately 25–30 days
• 2–3 BHK: approximately 35–45 days
• 4 BHK and above: 45–60 days, depending on scope

Week 8: Quality check and handover

Before handover, the space goes through a documented quality check covering hardware, finishes, electrical points and alignment. You move in with a flat 10-year warranty already active.

What slows a project down

The two most common delays are late material selection (choosing tiles or hardware after installation has already started) and mid-project scope changes. Locking your design and material choices in weeks 2–3 is the single biggest thing you can do to protect your timeline.
